About
A budding photographer who enjoys getting out and about in the glorious Peak District National Park and beyond...
Paul Millard first found a love for photography back in the eighties often being the nominated picture taker for events and holidays with compact cameras. In 2010 he bought his first DSLR a Nikon D5000 to take on a trip to Jamaica, this is where he learned about camera settings rather than shooting in auto.
In 2012 he bought his first full-frame camera to enjoy the increased depth of field and low light performance of the Nikon D600 which still gets used from time to time. However, once he tried his first mirrorless camera he could tell this would be the future of photography, and now owns an arsenal of Sony bodies. The Electronic View Finder makes composing and taking shots much easier, as what you see is what you get.
Paul is interested in all aspects of photography but started to get into Landscape photography at the beginning of 2018 and more recently Wildlife in 2021.
Paul is a semi-professional photographer based in Derbyshire and has over 10 years of working photography experience, he is highly competent in nearly all aspects of photography including commercial photography such as products, corporate headshots, tourism or properties. He is a proud dad of two girls and is DBS checked.
